It's been a while

I wish it rained more here
a rare request im sure
but the suns too dry & I
can feel the thirsty earth

Crumbling
beneath my naked feet
as I move across this empty street
I walk along in harmony
with Gods steady heart beat
promising to ease all thirst
& take good care of me

most busy cities can’t hear this
over their own self righteousness
but its so loud & clearly seen
to quiet, steady me
waiting for rain
